Although not downtown, Este boasts a walk score of 85, and there certainly is a lot within walking distance. It is perfectly situatied in the vibrant Central East area. The developer for Este is a very successful local developer, Constructive Ventures, who subsequently developed BartonPlace and Spring. The Architect for the development was Hailey Johnson Architects. The project was started in 2006 and finished in 2008. Total project budget was $14 million.

Low HOA Fees

Due to the small size of the building, Este does not have many amenities. No pool, concierge or gym. The benefit of this is much lower HOA fees. The HOA fees run at roughly $0.18 cents per sq ft. This is less than half of the average HOA rate in Austin. Again, this makes the building very attractive for residents who want to be close to downtown while keeping their costs low.
