We are proud to announce the launch of our new and improved website!  We decided to sit down and totally re-think the functionality and purpose of a real estate website from the ground up and here is what we came up with:

  • The site needs to be easy enough to navigate.  Upon completion we will pass on to our grandmothers for the final test.  If they have a tough time navigating the site then we need to revisit the drawing board!
  • The site needs to be more visual.  Tylere and I have had long debates on the effects of Media, Video, TV and Movies have had on the way people process information.  It is no secret that we have become far more visually stimulated than we were even 5 years ago.  Our site needs to set the new standard for visual simplicity and stimulation.
  • Interactive!  Our site needs to be exciting and entertaining.  Things need to slide and move and we need to make it feel like you are in a virtual world traveling from property to property during your real estate search.  We believe we have accomplished this by adding new features like the Google Maps and Google Street View so you can feel like you are actually standing in the street in front of the home that you are pre-viewing.  Videos and more interactive tools to come…
  • Faster!  The site needs to move faster and have far less load up times for all you people that suffer from mild forms of ADD or impatience.
  • The site needs to be a resource, a place where people can come to get lots of information.  This information needs to be free and easy to gather.  That is why we have included the Austin Condo Guide and the Austin Lease Guide.  These are “works in progress” and we will continue to update and add to the information provided in these guides.
  • Carson convinced us the importance of “blogs”.  After much resistance I now fully embrace the blogging community and we have made a commitment to continuously update our blog section with resourceful (and sometimes entertaining) posts.
